In the Fall of 2014, Ry Rocklen was an artist-in-residence at the Dodd Galleries at the Lamar Dodd School of Art. He created most of the works in the exhibition "Local Color" while on-site at the school and in conjunction with Dodd graduate and undergraduate students.

Ry Rocklen received his MFA from the University of Southern California, Los Angeles. He has held solo exhibitions at Honor Fraser, Los Angeles, CA; Feuer Mesler, New York, NY; The Dodd Galleries, Athens, GA;  Praz Delavallade, Paris, France; and in October, 2017 Rocklen will present new work at TEAM Gallery, New York, NY. His work is included in the collections of the Hammer Museum of Art, The Los Angeles County Museum of Art, MoCa Library, and the Thomas J. Watson Library at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. He lives and works in Los Angeles.
